Robber
Barons 42, Stonecutters 18
In a battle of WTFFL heavyweights, only one team showed up. For once, TJ wasn't
the favored Bengal receiver and it hurt the Stonecutters chemistry. Gore rediscovered
his burst and led the way for Minneapolis. Manning was his usual consistent self
and, of course, Sidney Rice stepped into the Robber Baron starting lineup and
promptly scored.

Apocalypse
32, Screaming Eagles 23
This game has huge playoff implications will provide the WTFFL Monday night drama.
Fitzgerald carried the load for Highland Park. Kaeding's leg kept Nord'east close.
Now it is up to Heath Miller to hold a 6 point Apocalypse lead against Steeler/Screagle
RB's Parker and Davenport.

Pongos
31, Pipers 23
Oh, those Pipers! A couple of weeks ago they looked destined for a division crown.
Now they will have to scramble for a playoff berth. The Hamline season sweep over
Loeb gives them an edge, but the Lakers are making a charge now. With the win,
Como Park ensured that they won't receive an invitation to the Pooper Bowl and
have been relagated to the role of spoiler. The Pongos will have a lot of influence
on how the Whale Division unfolds not only with their win here, but also with
a week 14 match-up against the Lakers.

Lightning
62, Showboats 58
The Showboats put up a surprisingly good fight, but they are not a team that can
overcome three defensive scores especially when they leave points on the bench.
Although he wasn't even in this game, Eli Manning absolutely killed Texas by serving
up the Vikings D scores as well as throwing one to Plax while ignoring Shockey.
JLew, Winslow and Chester performed their usual feats to spoil a nice debut by
Kolby Smith. Scobee kicked like a mad man and Devin Hester resumed his freakish
kick returns, but it was not enough. Brady took the field on Sunday night to sink
the Showboats for good.

Lakers
35, Communists 16
Centerville rolled over for Loeb. A revamped RB corps along with the sure foot
of Robbie Gould provided more than enough firepower to topple the Communists.
The Lakers have got to be kicking themselves for not figuring out how to beat
the Pipers at least once this season.

Dirty
Dogs 52, Bunnies 35
The Bunnies played hard to keep their dwindling playoff hopes alive, but the Dirty
Dogs were too much for them. SJax, Bruce and Hanson couldn't keep pace with Ocho
Cinco who was busy collecting NFL fines and Favre who was busy rewriting NFL record
books. Maroney couldn't make up any ground against Westbrook in the Sunday night
game.

Speed
28, Buzz 12
The Speed almost let this one get away, but Antonio Gates made sure that there
would be no upset. Fred Taylor looked young again, but that is about the only
good thing that can be said about Buzz at this point (unless you also consider
it good that the draft clock for the Waukesha 2008 first round draft pick is almost
certain to start as soon as the 2007 season ends).

Neandertals
46, Alley Cats 39
This game wasn't the marquee match-up on the WTFFL schedule, but it provided excitement
all weekend long as Maple Grove played like a team that does not want a return
trip to the Pooper Bowl. On Thankgiving day, Jennings scored twice while Crosy
kicked for 13. Romo threw two TD passes, but MBIII answered with a score and a
C-note. Addai capped the Turkey day scoring with a 6 giving the Alley Cats a 24-22
lead. In the Sunday early games, Colston and Dawson extended the White Bear lead.
However, in the late games the Neandertal receivers stepped it up as Chambers
and Marshall both scored. Then, finally Berrian made a dramatic TD catch that
was instrumental in the Bears comeback win and secured a W for Maple Grove. The
Patriots D celebrated the Neandertal victory in the Sunday nighter. The Neandertals
are now in a good position to avoid a Pooper Bowl berth as they hold a head-to-head
tie break advatage over the Buzz.
