Lightning
60, Dirty Dogs 33
The Lightning continued to roll with monster individual games, this time with
Chester Taylor leading the charge. Will we see a first-ever undefeated season
in the WTFFL? How about an epic run all the way through the Whale Bowl? Something
tells me that as the Patriots go, so goes the Lightning. On the Dirty Dogs side,
they searched for spark with the QB change, and Favre provided, but Roseville
has the WTFFL MVP at QB.

Apocalypse
33, Pipers 25
Warrick Dunn was back to his usual self for the Apocalypse, but it didn't prevent
Superman Anderson from leading a refurbished Andre Johnson and the rest of Highland
Park over housemate Hamline. The Piper coach made it dangerous on MNF with Brandon
Stokley, but they finished happy in the end.

Robber
Barons 43, Bunnies 31
The Bunnies tried to keep it close, but Randy Moss took control of the game for
the Robber Barons. Much like the Lightning, games in Minneapolis have been won
with interesting individual efforts from a variety of players. Could this be a
sign of imminent showdown? We all know that Manning would love another crack at
beating Brady.

Lakers
26, Showboats 17
The Showboats season is likely over. The Lakers are deserving of much hate (at
least from the Showboats). It was stated in a Parcellsish postgame interview that
Galloway is especially hated. But a glance across the boxscore should put blame
more firmly on Jacobs vs. Shockey. That's the 12-point shift that could have created
favor for the team from Texas.

Alley
Cats 57, Speed 44
All the Alley Cats score, as they typically do against the Speed. Vince Young
and the Speed have their best game of the season but still lose. Business as usual
for this predictably impotent franchise. White Bear looks ready for a championship
surge; the Twin Cities are barely hanging in there.

Buzz
13, Screaming Eagles 8
The Screagles are collapsing but one more win would put them in great shape for
a playoff spot. The Buzz are trying to stay out of the Pooper Bowl with the ugly
win. Ugly win... Is there any other way in Waukesha?

Stonecutters
46, Neandertals 25
TO exploded for the Stonecutters. The Neandertals are one step closer to the Pooper
Bowl after the loss despite playing hard in every game and showing signs of improvement
that makes one wonder why the record is so lopsided toward the "L."

Pongos
34, Communists 22
The Communists are the likely U Pooper Bowl representative with this loss, and
the Pongos look much better than their record. Como Park has been burdened with
an extreme PA this season, but you won't hear too many opposing fans crying foul.
The general grumbling has been that threepeat was tough enough to handle and that
fourpete must be stopped at all cost. So opponents have been running up the score
early and often.
