Lightning
36, Alley Cats 20
Brady carried the load for Roseville. White Bear spread the load around. Vinatieri
defended the undefeated season for both the Colts and the Lightning.

Screaming
Eagles 33, Apocalypse 17
The Screagles used an even attack to build up a big lead in an important Cetacean
Division contest against the Apocalypse. Dallas Clark has had a great year, but
overcoming 19 points and Reggie Wayne was asking a bit too much.

Pipers
41, Dirty Dogs 31
The Pipers are looking more and more like a team of destiny. In a week where Kitna
and the Lions passing game went silent, the Hamline squad found innovative ways
to score. The Cowboys returned a blocked field goal for a TD. Burleson returned
a kickoff for a TD. Calvin Johnson ran one in. Bush scored a TD and a 2-point
conversion. The result is that the Pipers stayed a step ahead of the favored Dirty
Dogs.

Lakers
44, Speed 10
Maybe Vince Young really was the glue holding the Speed together. Back-up QB and
former Speeder Kerry Collins flung the ball to Roydell Williams a lot but could
only seem to set up field goals. On the other side of the field, the Lakers have
been clicking since jerseyman Griese was installed as the starting QB. Big games
from Welker, Gould and Jacobs overwhelmed the hapless Speed squad.

Robber
Barons 42, Communists 23
Randy Moss made sure that Minneapolis had this one sewn up before Manning even
took the field. If Gore can get back on track, the Robber Barons will be as dangerous
as ever. The Commies appear headed in the right direction with Adrian Peterson,
but folks were also saying that last year with Addai.

Stonecutters
37, Pongos 27
If it were last season, Kenny Watson (and his 21-point performance) would have
found his way into the Pongo lineup. This season Brian Leonard got the call and
put up an egg. Meanwhile it was business as usual for TJ and TO, and Portis scored
twice for Dale Street. Instead of coasting to an easy victory, Como Park floundered
against their Wheelock Parkway rival.

Buzz
35, Bunnies 20
Things were bound to get all messed up with all of the Front roster moves and
new faces. Waukesha took advantage to capture their first win of the season. Coles
and Nugent had huge games. Harrison had a shot to give the Buzz high score for
the week, but he's starting to show his age these days.

Showboats
24, Neandertals 15
At one time, this was a Whale Bowl match up. That was a long time ago. Maple Grove
outbid Texas for Lance Moore, leading to Arnez Battle finding a spot among the
Showboat starters and DJax finding a spot on the Neandertal bench. Throw in the
fact that Maple Grove failed to get a bye week K replacement and it is not difficult
to understand how Texas was able to squeek out a win. (Even a blind squirrel finds
a nut once in a while.) Cotchery was the only Neandertal player who took advantage
of the Showboat PA with the ultimate garbage time TD. MBIII fell just short of
100 yards and Brandon Marshall was busy but couldn't put up any points. After
some shaky outings, Cutler responded exactly as the Showboat coaching staff wanted
(but didn't trust) him to.
