Pongos
22, Speed 20
Ronald Curry perfoms a knifing in the final minute of the week to make up for
Ryan Grant's dump on the 1 and Eddie Royal's benching. I predict every game will
go exactly like this for the Speed this year, which is a team that resembles Boof
Bonser at his worst.

And we all thought this was the 'Slingers were the weaker team among the two new

Neandertals
40, Dirty Dogs 24
MBIII held off Brian Westbrook, Longwell kept Crosby at bay, and Selvin Young
put it out of reach in a mild upset. The Cavemen are improved, and Ocho Cinco
disrupts the chemistry in the DD locker room.

Showboats
31, Buzz 14
Michael Turner was a nice surprise for the Falcons and Showboats, while Darren
McFadden came up empty. Cutler landed at that unfortunate 299, and then had it
magically turn into 300 later in the week. Either way, his two TDs were enough
to lessen the blow of a seemingly revitalized Donovan McNabb.

Lightning
17, Lakers 15
It was a low-scoring affair for the suddenly Bradyless Lightning, but the regular
season undefeated streak is still intact. Unbelievably, the Lightning already
have Cassel on their team. It will be interesting to see if he gets the call over
an impressive Aaron Rodgers.

Munsters
22, Fighting Jackalope 21
This one came down to an extra point by Shayne Graham. Stars shined, role players
rolled, and the Munsters earned a tough win in the WTFFL's black n' blue division.
(Although it would've been easier with Hines Ward and Sidney Rice in the game.)

Communists
34, Alley Cats 23
An overlooked kicker bid had the Cats meowing, but this writer can assure you
that it was on the transaction sheet last week. Elam returned to Centerville despite
a new NFL home, and White Bear did a good job of covering the spread with David
Akers. However, AD AP made the point moot with his regularly awesome performance
on MNF.
