Groan. Mildly entertaining update of the 1956 film based upon the Jules Verne book. I should say loosely based upon the book. The casting of Jackie Chan (who is also a producer) as the valet turns this into a platform for his fight scenes which is fine, but his story adds an element to the movie that is unnecessary. Cameos are abundant, some of which are welcome, but does anyone care about seeing Rob Schneider?
