I'm in Rio. Straight up. Everything down here is three times less expensive. You get 600 bucks for 200 and it is a real 600. People here are kind of sore about it, because gringos come down and go off but most Brazilians are not really able to go party in gringoland.

Gringoland sucks big time compared to down here. Rio is straight up beautiful. My brother and his girlfriend Claire are English teachers. Things are sometimes a little intellectually intense, but I've decided to shut my trap and go into Olympic-style guest mode.

I met a girl and she is a supermodel for Dolce & Gabbana, and she's off to Milan soon to do private shows for buyers where she'll walk in 150 outfits. She treats me better than any woman I have ever met or seen in any movie. She has eyes that are emerald and earth-brown that light up. She's Italian and Brazilian Indian and Dutch. Her name is Diane (pronounced Giani).

I don't know what's happened to me but I can't leave here. I am going to think of ways to get back down here for the rest of my life.

I've been sleeping crazy hours and have only been doing life-awakening things since I've been here. My head is a little light right now. Being in Rio is incredible.

I also got into the Peace Corps.
