I'm camping in a surf town called Itacare. I'm about two-thirds of the way up the northern coast of Bahia. It is pretty wonderful here. I hiked out to a beautiful beach today and surfed for a while. I'm trying to learn to surf.
I have this large surfboard called a fun board and it is pretty fun. If I'm not careful, the board will lunge down the wave like the log ride, and I just wipe out at the bottom. If I take off in the direction I'd like to go, I usually last a little while and try to strugle to my feet.
I may eventually move to Sao Paulo. I think if I live there, I am going to concentrate on skateboarding. I bought some huge pads when I was last there, and they pretty much took all of the fear out of the sport for me—so now the challenge lies in getting better.
