Summer Part Deux

Can you believe it's August already? Time needs to slow down, or we need more summer months. There's just so much to do around these cities and so little time to update my web page. Last update I left off right before the 4th of July, so I guess we'll start there.

We headed down to Harriet Island for the Taste of Minnesota. Live music, tasty food, tons of people and of course fireworks.

4th of July - Taste of MN

(middle photo) Greg's sister Gina & fiancé Jason joined us on the boat (above) to watch fireworks over the Mississippi River. (right photo) Earlier that day they joined Greg, Cheryl & I doing our version of the "YMCA" while The Village People performed on stage behind us. Photos in this row & above were taken at the Taste of MN.

Hopkins Rasberry Festival

(left photo) Rasberry mascot during parade. Hopkins is our stomping ground during the week and just happens to be the rasberry capital of the world. Yum for us!

(middle photo) Cheryl headed into Hopkins mainstreet for some live music. Cheryl's friend Mike was playing guitar on stage.

Basilica Block Party

(middle photo) Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis. Each year they throw a block party to raise money for restoration.

Lumberjack Days - Stillwater

We'll have more info when the Minnesota State Fair comes rolling through!
