New Year's Eve

For New Year's Eve Greg and I decided to take on a hockey game at the Xcel Engery Center. The Wild were not expected to win this game, but I'm happy to say we did! Minnesota Wild take the Anahiem Ducks, 4-3. What a great game...

(Below) An exhilarated hockey crowd crawled over to McGovern's to welcome in the New Year. From left to right, Jason, Greg, Carly and Gina. (12.31.06)

Timberwolves vs. Nets

I think everyone knows I'm not a huge fan of basketball. Yet, I did want to visit the Target Center downtown and the Timberwolves just happend to be playing. So G. and I bought some tickets and made the most of a Saturday. To my surprise, I have to say we had a great time. Basketball is certainly not one of our strongest sports in Minnesota, but it was fun and we won!(01.13.07)

Going back to Cali...

This was the only family picture I came back with! Crystal, I know you're not making the best face in this picture, so just to prove you look normal, I've included a nice photo below. (12.22-28.06)

Christmas in California

It was so great to go back home for Christmas! This year was the longest I've spent away from my family and I missed them so much! I've been so busy since I've moved to Minnesota, but no amount of baseball, hockey, or anyother kind of fun could replace the smart-asses in my family! We're the best!

(Right) Dad scored big time this Xmas! We all chipped in to get Dad an iPod, ihome and iPod radio transmitter so he could relish in his vast music collection. He deserves it!

Christmas in California

Then there's my mother...she'll fool you with her child-like mannerisms, but she's a tough one. She works hard so her family has a loving home to go back to when needed. But we mostly use it to tease eachother relentlessly and act like smart-asses. I love that about our family...

This year, Mom got her annual "Dahms Family Calendar" that I work so hard on each year. We can buy her jewlery, expensive shoes, tapestries, you name it...but all she ever wants is something that shows her love for her kids.

California Dreaming...

The kids (Doug, Carly and Crystal) received some great gifts this year. I got an awesome Twins jersey from Crystal. Doug got a Minnesota Wild jersey, Crystal got money since she's in school still, but the winner of all gifts was Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero is Playstation 2 game that basically teaches you to play the guitar to classic rock songs. Crystal played it something fierce, I told her she needs to become a professional fake-guitarist. Yes, that would make all her college-loans worth it!

To sum it up...the holidays were great. I'm happy in Minnesota, but it's nice to know California will always be waiting.
