Trip,
Stumble, Fall...
It's taken a trip
to Minnesota, a stumble through new friends, new places and a
new job to bring us to a colorful Fall in Minnesota. As always
we've stayed busy, so I haven't been able to update the website
in a while, but here's just a little taste of what we've been
up to.

Sever's
Corn Maze
G. had another great
idea when he found out about the Sever's Corn Maze in Shakopee.
You show up and they give you a map to find clues throughout the
maze. This was more fun than I had realized, but the boys had to
do it their way. Anais and I went off frolicking aimlessly through
the maze while the boys stayed committed to their maps.

Sever's
Corn Maze (cont.)
Above, you'll see
the hay-maze that everyone runs on, in and around, and it is actually
tons of fun. If you notice in the aerial photo, you'll see the hay-maze
in the bottom-left portion of the picture. The corn maze is HUGE!
Every year the maze is changed to create a new image. To the right,
you'll see Anais in the corn maze. She's grown so much in the last
year, it's amazing!

Girls
Night Out
[Carly, Katey, Gina]
Okay, every now and then, the girls need a night out, and what better
night than the season opener of the Minnesota Wild! We went to the
Eagle Street Grill, which is literally a stone's throw from the
arena, to watch the game and have some drinks. (I can't believe
I just wrote "a stone's throw," that's so Minnesotan!)
The more fun I have, the more I slack on capturing the moment in
photos, so thanks to Katey for sending in this one!

Minnesota
Wild
The season has officially
begun for the State of Hockey. Yes, the Minnesota Wild are off to
a great start, winning both of their first 2 games! This couldn't
have come at a better time, since the Twins were swept by the Oakland
A's. I have to admit this girl still has some love for the Bay Area,
and I'll say it now, I'm rooting for the A's all the way!

Gina
and Jason's BBQ
Once again, I'm
slacking on the photo-taking. Luckily, Katey was there again to
bail me out. We only got a couple of photos that night, so you'll
see Katey to the left and Greg and I below. That night G.'s sister
gave me a Minnesota Wild jersey (I'm wearing it in the photo).
She works for Wildside Catering, so she's got some good connections!
Thank you Gina!

Greg
and Carly
G. looks good in
this photo, but I wouldn't say this is my best shot. Oh well, I
think we have enough photos of Carly looking cute to last a lifetime.
G. and I have had some major changes in the last year, but I wouldn't
change a thing. Everything that happens makes you the person you
are today, and I'm alright with that. Thank you G.!

Meet
Kurt Busch
[Carly, Martin (co-worker)
and Kurt Busch] My work had 5 invitations to meet former NASCAR
champ, Kurt Busch, and I got one! Now, I'll admit...I'm not a NASCAR
fan, but an entire restaurant (The Lodge) was rented out to meet
this guy as he talked about a sponsor (Newpage Inc.) that I work
with, and I wasn't about to miss that. It was pretty impressive.
The entire lodge was filled with maybe 100 people and he was a good
guy. I shook his hand and had a quick conversation with the man,
and I left thinking he was alright. Hey, it was free beer, free
food, autographed calendars, and pint glasses for everyone.
