It was the last weekend of the "Hatshepsut" exhibition gallery at the de Young Museum in San Francisco. I love Egyptian history and this is one of the better stories.

Hatshepsut ascended to power as the first woman pharaoh. Through a series of deaths and marriages, she was in the unique position of taking the throne. She advertised herself as the direct descendant of the Gods and assumed power. She began dressing as a male pharaoh, and it is common for statues and drawing to depict her in male clothing and donning a false beard.

Enjoy the other photos as we continued on and goofed around in the museum. Afterwards we went to Kezar Pub for buffalo wings and hockey games. We ran into a group of people from St.Paul Minnesota, where Greg is from! It's a small world.

I love the City.
