Happy Halloween from The Saxes

Here we are again. This is our second fall season in the house (a whole year under our belt). Raking the leaves this year wasn't as bad, and we even had some fun with it. Last year we had about 40 lawn bags of leaves...this year we didn't have to count. The neighbor took them to the dump for us. Neighbors are a fringe benefit of homeownership. A whole year and I'm pretty sure this is the first photo we've taken with everyone in it (dogs included).
Fall as always comes with a bit of surprise, especially when you get some snowfall in the middle of October. This has happened the last 3 fall seasons I've had here in Minnesota. We'll get this one snowfall that never sticks, but it sure does shock you into remembering -32 degrees. Suddenly the windows stay shut at night and you don't leave the house without a jacket. All's well. Winter is fun, too (I guess). Next stop: Thanksgiving.
Having a converstaion with Anais is a wonderful thing. It usually starts with something like this,"Can I tell you something?" Then quickly she dives into her story.

Photography is awesome. It can make these 20-pound canines look like fierce killers. This isn't as bad as it looks (or sounds). Mikko usually only bites Jawa long enough for him to fight back and Mikko surrenders. When Jawa stops biting, the cycle begins again.
