Merry Christmas, Happy New Year!

This season I didn't pack my bags and fly off to the warm(er) West Coast to be with my family. Nope - I celebrated under my own roof (100% mine...after a 30-year mortgage) with my own tree (see below) and my little pups nearby. I did get to spend time with Greg's family who made the snowy cold feel a bit warmer.

December has been covered with snow, and it looks like we'll be getting more. For now, I'm enjoying the snow and ice...and the dogs just love it. But talk to me next month and let's see if I'm California Dreaming.

Oh, Carly in Eau Claire, WI

(My mother is going to love this!) Have you ever seen 3 Carlys? Well you have now...

We packed up the kids & dogs and made the drive into Wisconsin to visit Greg's grandma, aunt and cousins.

And they call it puppy love...

Here they are, the best things from 2007. Oh, wait, I guess I do like the house a whole lot, but I freaking go nuts when I see my little poopers!

Some people see pictures of kids and gush, but I'm one of those that can't resist what you're looking at on the right. Look how much they love each other! Kee-yute!

Visits from kids and friends:

(Upper Left) Karen and Jon visiting from Brooklyn, NY. Greg has known Jon since they were 7, and they still act like it :-) These two are effing hilarious. I can't explain it; you just need to be around them.

(Upper Right) Anais and Mikko competing for cuteness.

(Right) Thanksgiving eve pre-drinks at The Liffey and another Minnesota Wild hockey game. From left to right: Chris, Sean, Greg, Mark & his daughter.

2008!

In a couple of weeks, we have the Winter Carnival starting. That means medallion hunting (2nd year in a row for this gal) and more St. Paul Bouncing events. By the way, Greg was Rookie of the Year for his team and now is updating their website. I'll create a link when it's done.

For now, it's back to the ol' routine: Let the dogs out, pick up poop, go to work, come home for lunch, pick up poop, go back to work, go home, eat (not poop), pick up poop, watch some TV, try and pick up the house, spend some time with my G., and head to bed.

I'm looking forward to this lull before winter kicks in. Not that it hasn't; its been a cold one so far.

See you next month. Be safe and have fun!
